Snow

“What is Christmas with no snow

No white Christmas with no snow”.

Those lyrics are from Irving Berlin’s song “Snow”. Until Sunday, it looked like we were going to have another Christmas with no snow.

Very fine snow began to blow early in the day. By noon, it had changed to large fluffy flakes that stuck to the grass and tree branches. The bleak, late fall landscape was transformed to a magical Christmas card scene. It was a perfect afternoon to sit in front of the fire, and watch a Christmas movie.

We have a small collection of Christmas DVDs- titles that have become a tradition to watch. Sunday afternoon, with our four-legged kids curled up at our side, we watched “White Christmas”. It is still my favourite Christmas movie after all these years.
